underwriters can either make a virtual 'print' or forward the attachment via email
to Appulate. Our technology converts these forms to ACORD XML and electronically
enters them into your system. Appulate can also provide web services for your internal
development team to build an automated solution to convert ACORD form PDFs into
ACORD XML.
Whether the PDF you receive from the agent is a native PDF file or if it's a scanned
version of the form, the Uplink™ can recognize and process the file through
our data recognition engine or through our
OCR process. Nothing is different for the user — we automatically
recognize and handle each case appropriately.
