Charity First will be the first MGA of its kind to have a full portal for its agents. Features of this will include an “Appetite Guide”, data collection through dynamic questionnaires, rating, underwriting, data bridging, e-signature and document management.

U.S. Risk To Debut “Submission Management Portal” From Appulate
New Enhancements To Appulate Drive Efficiency For U.S. Risk

DALLAS, TX – April 13, 2012 After selecting Appulate, Inc. to provide submission management automation system, U.S. Risk Insurance Group, Inc. prepares to increase efficiency of its operations and making it easier for its agents to do business with them. Initially, the automation will be available for U.S. Risk’s renowned, “StaffPak” program, as well as its wholesale workers comp line.
“StaffPak” is a program specifically designed for staffing agencies and includes General Liability, Property, Auto and Employee Practices Liability. “The amount of data required and its reliance on ACORD forms makes this program ideal for automation,” said Dimitri Nikouline, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Appulate.
Appulate has historically been associated with providing middleware technology to handle the “upload” and bridging of data between agents and insurance markets. However, for U.S. Risk, Appulate is unveiling several new modules including: data collection through dynamic questionnaires, rating, underwriting, carrier data bridging, e-signature and document management. These features join the data bridging component to make up a complete agent portal solution.
“We were keeping an eye on Appulate because we were always impressed with the technology they provide to bridge data and the ease of use it provided back to the agent,” said George Gorney, Chief Information Officer at U.S. Risk Insurance Group. “When we started to put their bridging technology to work under a proof of concept, we quickly realized that they had several other capabilities we could take advantage of to increase efficiencies and enhance the agent experience.”
Appulate’s “Uplink™” offers upload capability from any agency management system and is used by more than 2000 agencies in the United States. U.S. Risk plans to offer its agents’ use of Uplink beginning this Spring. “Providing upload capabilities to our agents will save them time, but it is just the beginning of a much larger strategy and set of technology enhancements planned” commented U.S. Risk’s Gorney. “Having Appulate’s Submission Management Portal will make it easier on all stakeholders from the insured to the agent and even with our carriers.”

Novarica ACERANKING gives Appulate Uplink a 97 score!

Silver Ranking 5-Customer Viewpoint

Novarica Average Customer Experience(ACE) Rankings are based on an online survey of senior technology and operational executives at three insurer clients who have direct experience with the vendor product and organization. Silver Rankings, like this one, are based on 5 client responses.

Novarica validates the identity and responses of the participants, who are assured of anonymity.

The Novarica ACE Ranking survey asks for the reference to rank his or her experience with the vendor and solution on a 7-point scale from "Completely Agree" to "Completely
Disagree" against various positive statements about customer experience, for example "Staff is highly responsive".

These statements are grouped into Novarica's four SOFT areas (Staff, Organization, Functionality, and Technology) as well as an additional area for Overall Customer Satisfaction, which is double-weighted in the average.

Novarica ACE Rankings are produced independently and are not sponsored by the vendor. Novarica offers vendors the opportunity to direct clients to the survey and also solicits participation directly from its own network of insurer contacts.

The Novarica ACE Ranking is intended to provide an objective measurement of customer satisfaction levels in general, and is intended to be used to guide insurers' own due diligence processes when evaluating potential solution providers. It is not a substitute for conducting reference interviews or visits prior to selecting a solution.

Arrowhead Announces Instant Online Workers' Compensation Quotes

San Diego, CA, 08/17/2010 – ARROWHEAD General Insurance Agency, Inc. has announced its producers can now receive instant quotes for Workers' Compensation submissions under $15,000 in written premium through the new Quick Quote platform at ArrowheadExchange.com, Arrowhead's online quoting portal. Quick Quote requests loss history and class code specific questions during the submission process bypassing the need for a supplemental application. Accounts greater than $15,000 can also be submitted for underwriting review through ArrowheadExchange.com and are expedited for faster turnaround.

In addition, Arrowhead has teamed up with Appulate, Inc. to provide a bridge that will eliminate the need to rekey data from the ACORD 130 form into ArrowheadExchange.com. "The simplicity of setting up the bridge is comparable to installing a print driver," said Arrowhead's Commercial Division President, Stephen Boyd. "With an easy-to-install bridge that's compatible with a majority of agency management systems, our producers can quote in five minutes and then request to bind online," said Boyd. "Our ultimate goal was to increase automation for our clients."

With broad eligible class codes focusing on construction, agriculture, light manufacturing and main street business, producers are able to quote over 255 classes within minutes. They can then request to bind online. The carriers are rated "A" (XV) and "A+" (XV) by A.M. Best Company. Underwriting criteria for the Quick Quote system includes total premium of $15,000 or less, $1,000 minimum premium, no new ventures, no lapse in coverage within the past three years and less than five total claims in last three years. Complete underwriting guidelines and class codes can be viewed at ArrowheadGrp.com/quickquote.

Earlier this year, Arrowhead was recognized for automating its Workers' Compensation online submissions and was a recipient of an Early Adopter ACORD Award. The award was presented in April from the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development (ACORD), a global nonprofit insurance association that is standardizing systems used by the insurance industry.

Concord Group Uses AgencyPort to Integrate with Appulate AgencyConnect Enables Concord to Rate, Quote & Bind Online with Independent Agents

BOSTON, MA – May 3, 2010 -- AgencyPort (a Sword Group company), the leading provider of web-based distribution solutions to the property and casualty insurance industry announces that Concord Group Insurance, one of the largest writers of personal insurance in New England, and several of Concord Group’s independent agents are piloting the use of the quote submission service by Appulate to bridge new policies online with Concord Group.

Concord Group now offers full rate, quote and bind via the Appulate service for personal auto in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine and homeowners insurance in the same states and Massachusetts. Appulate is a privately-held company headquartered in Agoura Hills, California which provides a new path for agent to carrier upload for new business quote requests. Independent agents use Appulate software to open ACORD new business submission .pdf forms in their agency management systems and request a quote from Concord Group.

“We recognize that agents want efficient interface with Concord Group” said Concord Group’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Warren C. McLean, Jr. “In fact, it is an imperative that the quote, bind and issue process for agents achieve maximum efficiency in this competitive marketplace. The new bridge enables agents to save time quoting policies and lets them focus on closing more sales with Concord Group.”

Concord Group licensed AgencyPort’s AgencyConnect interface solution to process inbound quote requests from multiple systems including agency management systems (e.g. Vertafore or Applied Systems), comparative rating systems (e.g. SilverPlume’s PL Rater, or Boston Software’s WinRater/SinglePoint) and now from Appulate.

“Appulate enables agents and carriers to bypass the traditional upload channel via TransactNow and Transformation Station and we have completed integrations with carriers in the past but none have gone as well as the Concord Group project,” said Jeff Harris of Appulate. “We were glad Concord Group had a proven product on the other end of the data pipe like AgencyConnect and we are really pleased to offer quoting by Concord Group to agency users of Appulate.”

AgencyConnect processes the policy data sent by Appulate via ACORD XML and applies Concord Group’s underwriting rules to process any automated data corrections or automatically adjust limits to Concord Group’s insurance product specifications. With secure, single sign-on authentication in place, the agent is then presented with a list of any further data errors or missing information so that the agent can finish the whole process in seconds and be bridged into E-Coach, Concord Group’s agent portal for online binding.

“Concord Group deploys AgencyConnect in the way it was designed, as a complete agency interface solution,” said Mason Power, VP of Product & Market Strategy at AgencyPort. “Concord Group is differentiated in their market because AgencyConnect not only transforms complex agency interface channels into one stream of normalized ACORD XML but also integrates with rating and other systems at Concord to enable a true real-time, round trip experience for the agent.”
